Rotary Club of Lutterworth – Indoor Big Bike Ride 26 th February 2023

This year’s annual Big Indoor Bike Ride took place on Sunday, 26th February at the Lutterworth Sports Centre.

As well as being a chance for local people to get fit, the Big Ride also raised money for deserving charities, including Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Dementia UK and other charities currently supported by the Rotary Club of Lutterworth.

On the day, keen local cyclist and professional instructor, Richard Stannard ran 4 one-hour sessions, with the first pedal being turned on the stationary exercise bikes at 10am. The day finished at 2pm all set to a musical soundtrack selected by Richard which kept the tempo
and excitement up for the duration of the event.

Attendance was increased from the event last year to 91 cyclists, which was a great turn out and made the event memorable, raising more than £1000 for charity.

the day. His cycling buddy (to the far right), Vic
Barnett is 78 years old and is a 10 times World
Mountain Bike Champion. He also cycled for 2
hours with the Spin Doctor Richard Stannard (Centre)

The Rotary Club of Lutterworth would like to thank all those people that took part on the day, the volunteers that made it all possible and the support of the management and team at Lutterworth Sports Centre.
